Target Ranges

PALMER Soil & Water Conservation District, Palmer, AK. – 1998 – 2004

• Johnson Road – Cleared stumps, boulders, brush and trees.  Cleared ditches, and rebuilt two miles of road.
• Built several unimproved gravel staging pads.
• Built hand grenade practice range
• Built 14 in place concrete firing stations for FT WW Target Range.
• Rebuilt 3 miles of Manchou Road including culverts, etc.

As a Subcontractor, we performed over $1.8 million dollars of work which included building five (5) different target ranges completing the jobs on time. 

The ranges consisted of concrete target emplacements set into hillsides with service roads connecting each engagement site.  We built three miles of road for the Army to access these sites. 

Along with that, were things such as culverts, erosion control, trenching for wire, building a series of trench/bunkers and demolition of an existing range complex. 

The jobs were managed by the Corp. of Engineers.
